Read the numbers in context

What is measured?

Finite metered plans in our tracked catalogue. Each qualifying country has equal weight in the headline median. Unlimited plans are excluded from per-GB calculations.

What is not measured?

Sales, market share, network speed and service quality. Changes in our provider sample can move the index without a like-for-like price change.

Can we call this a trend?

Not yet. July has no qualifying countries under the current threshold. There is no complete 90-day comparison, and missing dates are not estimated.

The latest live index currently reports $2.81/GB across 212 qualifying countries (14 additional thin-sample countries), dated September 2026. This may change; use the frozen report and CSV for citations.
