Terms of service
The human summary: we compare eSIM plans, you buy from the providers, and the price at their checkout is the one that counts. Details below.
Last updated: 29 July 2026
1. What RoamSonar is (and isn't)
RoamSonar is a comparison and information service for travel eSIM plans. We collect plan data from providers, apply any working coupons we know about, and rank the results using published formulas (see /how-we-rank). That's the entire service. We do not sell eSIMs. We don't process payments, issue QR codes, activate plans, or provide connectivity. When you click through to a provider, any purchase you make happens on their website, under their terms of sale, their refund policy, and their privacy policy — not ours. Your contract is with them; our job ended at the comparison.
2. Accuracy — our promise and its limits
We work hard to keep prices fresh: provider feeds re-sync automatically around every 30 minutes, and every results page shows a 'prices verified' timestamp so you can see exactly how old the data is. But feeds lag, sales end mid-hour, currencies wobble, and providers change things without telling us. The price, data allowance, validity, and conditions shown at the provider's checkout are authoritative. If our page and their checkout disagree, their checkout wins, and we'd genuinely appreciate a heads-up via /contact so we can fix it. All information on RoamSonar is provided 'as is' for research purposes, not as an offer to sell.
3. Coupons
Coupon codes we display (like Simbye's ESM15) are verified on the date shown, but providers control them entirely and can change, restrict, or kill a code at any time without notice. A discount shown on RoamSonar is our arithmetic based on the last time the code worked — it isn't a guarantee the provider will honor it at checkout. If a code fails, tell us and we'll pull it, but we can't compensate you for a discount a third party declined to apply.
4. How we're paid (affiliate disclosure)
Most 'Get plan' links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, the provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you — sometimes the coupon even makes it cheaper than going direct. Commissions never influence rankings, scores, or badges; the formulas on /how-we-rank apply identically to every plan whether or not a commission is attached. The long version lives at /how-we-make-money.
5. Acceptable use
Feel free to use RoamSonar for any normal personal or commercial research. Please don't: scrape the site at abusive rates, attempt to breach the admin area, misrepresent our content as your own, or republish our data wholesale without permission. We may block traffic that degrades the service for everyone else.
6. No warranties
RoamSonar is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan will perform as its provider describes. eSIM performance depends on networks, devices, and locations we don't control.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoamSonar and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost roaming, missed connections (network or airline), or purchases that didn't work out — arising from your use of the site or any provider you found through it. Where liability can't be excluded, our total aggregate liability is capped at one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes belong to the courts of India. If a court finds any clause unenforceable, the rest of the terms survive unchanged.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Changes take effect when posted here, with the 'Last updated' date changed. Meaningful changes will be flagged on this page for at least 30 days. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it — but since we sell you nothing and store almost nothing, walking away is always a clean break.
