The dataset contains 199,700 country-plan observations on 2026-09-02; multi-country plans can appear in several countries, so this is not a unique-plan count.

## What the numbers mean

Each country's statistic is the median coupon-adjusted price per GB of its finite metered plans. The headline gives every qualifying country equal weight; it is not a sales-weighted or plan-weighted global average. At least 50 plans and 5 providers are required per country. Unlimited plans do not enter per-GB calculations.

## Limitations and open questions

Our catalogue is a changing sample of tracked providers, not the entire market. Imports, coverage changes and unavailable feeds can move the median even without a like-for-like price change. July has no qualifying countries under the current threshold; no quarter-over-quarter or July-to-September price claim is made. There is no complete 90-day comparison yet. Missing early-quarter dates are not interpolated. Provider refund terms, network performance and quality are not measured by this index.

Use the table to compare observed price distributions, then check trip length, daily vs total allowances, coverage and checkout terms. A low country median is not a promise about one traveler's plan. Future releases need a longer stable history and like-for-like plan cohorts before attributing movements to repricing.
