RoamSonar

One search. A clearer choice.

How RoamSonar works

We bring travel eSIM plans into one searchable comparison, so you can choose with the price, data allowance and fine print in view.

RoamSonar is an eSIM search engine, not a seller, reseller or white-label eSIM shop. You compare here and buy from the provider.

From trip to checkout

Three steps to your next connection

  1. 1

    Tell us about your trip

Choose your destination, trip length and likely data use. A week of maps and messages needs a different comparison from a month of video calls. Our search turns those inputs into useful trip-fit checks.

  2. 2

    Compare the details

Switch between Recommended, Cheapest and Fastest, then use the filters that matter to you. Read the allowance, validity, activation requirements and known restrictions. A small price is not useful if the plan misses your needs.

  3. 3

    Continue to the provider

Open the offer to check the provider’s final price and terms. Payment, eSIM delivery and activation happen with that provider. Before paying, confirm your device compatibility, destination coverage and when the plan’s validity starts.

Behind the search

Provider data, made comparable

Browse the providers we list →

Our catalogue comes from documented provider APIs, feeds and structured public catalogues. We read prices, allowances, validity and coverage into a common format, rather than building offers from advertising headlines. Some providers publish more detail than others.

Total allowances, daily caps and unlimited plans stay distinct. A daily allowance is labelled per day; unlimited does not become an invented finite number of gigabytes. Unknown 5G, hotspot or top-up information stays unknown, not an optimistic tick.

Automatic checks are scheduled every 30 minutes. That is a check cadence, not a promise that every source succeeds each time. Successful changes update the catalogue and its cached pages. If a source fails, last-good information can remain while the real timestamps stay visible.

The order is explainable

Three views of the same trip

There is no single best eSIM for everyone. These views emphasise different trade-offs; none takes a commission rate as a scoring input.

Cheapest

Orders by the effective plan price per day of your trip, among the plans passing your filters. The denominator is your trip length, not extra validity days you may never use.

Fastest

Means fastest to get online. The score considers identity-check requirements, listed 5G, hotspot, top-up and speed-limit information. It is not a measured network-speed leaderboard or a promised download speed.

Recommended

Combines up to 50 points for relative value, 25 for trip fit and 25 for simplicity. Unlimited plans have their own value comparison. Insufficient-data plans have their overall score capped at 40.

We also apply same-coverage dominance checks and provider-diversity rules, so the displayed order is not just a score column. For the exact weights, tie-breaks and limits, read how we rank. Network evidence has its own speed-estimation methodology.

Prices and independence

Discounts need conditions. Rankings do not need a sales pitch.

An active, display-allowed coupon changes the ranked price only when its eligibility and the plan’s promotion rules allow that calculation. New-customer-only or uncertain offers remain conditional; they are not quietly treated as everyone’s price.

A crossed-out price shows genuine list-to-coupon arithmetic, not an invented previous selling price. Codes can expire and exclusions can apply. The coupon hub explains conditions, while our deals page adds its own country-relative value tests.

RoamSonar may earn a referral commission when you buy after following a link. A provider cannot buy a better organic score or position. Our revenue explanation makes that relationship visible. The provider remains responsible for your purchase and its support.

Planned, not available

More trip essentials, carefully

Our owner-stated roadmap targets e-visa and travel-insurance comparison for Q1 2027 (January–March). These services are not available on RoamSonar today. The target can change; it is not a launch guarantee, an application service, an insurance quote or a promise of eligibility or cover.

Before you choose

Useful answers, without the fine-print hunt

Can I buy an eSIM directly from RoamSonar?

No. RoamSonar is a search and comparison engine, not a seller, reseller or white-label eSIM shop. Choose a plan here, then complete the purchase on the provider’s website. That provider supplies your eSIM and manages the order.

Do you compare every eSIM provider?

No. We compare the active providers and plans in our catalogue. The live totals above describe that index, not the whole market. Availability varies by destination, and a listed provider may not have a suitable plan for every trip.

Why might the checkout price be different?

A provider can change a price between our last successful refresh and your purchase. Currency conversion, taxes, payment charges or coupon eligibility can also affect checkout. Check the final total and conditions with the provider before paying; report mismatches through our contact page.

Does Fastest mean the fastest mobile network?

No. It is a fastest-to-get-online score using activation requirements and listed plan features. It is not a live speed test or a guarantee of Mbps. Device support, local coverage, congestion and plan restrictions can change the connection you experience.

Who helps with activation or a refund?

Contact the provider named on your order for delivery, activation, billing or refunds. RoamSonar can review incorrect comparison information, but cannot access your provider account, issue its QR code or decide a refund. Keep your order confirmation and the provider’s support details.
