Voice + Data eSIMs — monthly
6 first-purchase plans. These calendar-month subscriptions are separate from the one-time tourist plans and are not ranked as fixed-trip totals.
Setup is paid once; monthly service is charged separately on activation. Your first calendar month is prorated from activation to month-end. After that, the monthly fee is billed on the 1st. The 10% partner-link discount applies only to eligible Voice + Data setup, not monthly fees. No coupon code needed.
Japanese phone number, incoming calls and incoming SMS included. Domestic outgoing calls: ¥44/minute; domestic outgoing SMS: ¥33/message. International usage and optional add-ons cost extra. ID verification and posted or collected eSIM access code required — not instant email delivery. Prices include tax and are billed in JPY.

Who Mobal suits
Company and service
Mobal offers Japan-only tourist data eSIMs and separate calendar-month Voice + Data subscriptions. This page keeps their different charges separate.
Best for
Travellers who want a fixed high-speed pool or unlimited on-device data for a stated Japan trip length.
Not the best fit for
Trips outside Japan or anyone who needs a Japanese phone number from the data-only plans listed here.
Honest weakness
Unlimited tourist plans have duration-dependent hotspot allowances. Voice + Data requires ID and a posted or collected access code; setup is separate from prorated monthly fees and outgoing usage. The eligible 10% partner setup offer does not discount monthly service.
